It was only at the start of this year that I declared toner's were useless; all I ever used was a Simple one to take off any remains of make-up after a cleanser. Of course, in the past that's all what we believed a toner could do, but over the past few years a whole lot of toners have been created to effect your skin in different ways. I honestly love my toner routine now, it's definitely my favourite step in my skincare routine and I'm always looking for new ones to add to my collection.
Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz - This is one of my newest additions, and I'm actually surprised at how much I like this toner. I wasn't expecting much after the reviews I've read and the price, but it's possibly the one I'm reaching for the most at the moment. The Rosewater is very refreshing, and it's great for sensitive skin. I don't know how it's managing to do it, but it's cleared up my problem areas wonderfully, too.
La Roche Posay Effaclar lotion - I'm a little bit wary of this one, only really because the scent is very strong and seems harsh; the Effaclar duo also did nothing but break me out, so I was worried about this causing a reaction. That said, I haven't had any negative effects from this. It purifies my face nicely, and seems to reduce any pores and leaves it looking bright in the morning. I don't use it everyday, but it's a nice one to use a few times a week as an exfoliation.
Lush Tea Tree Toner Water - Aaah, the first toner I really fell in love with. I don't use this so much anymore, but when I'm having some issues and a few blemishes pop up, I always have this on hand. After a good cleanse I really spritz this onto the problem areas, and they just seem to dry up so much quicker than without it. I make sure I always have a bottle of this in stock, just in case.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir - Again, this is another one I'd be lost with if any spots flare up. It contains rosemary, mint, glycerin and orange blossom which are all designed to give a radiance to the skin, but they always work wonderfully drying up any blemishes I might have.
Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner - I bought this one with the Rosewater spritz as they were on offer, and I thought why not. I was attracted to this one as it mentions on the back it contains natural AHA's, and I sometimes find my complexion a little dull. This one pretty much does what is says on the tin (or bottle, rather) and brightens my face wonderfully whilst also clearing out any problem areas. Again, one I wasn't expecting much from but am pleasantly surprised by!
Do you use any of these toners? What toners do you recommend?
